FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often.

What happens to my scripts if I cancel my subscription?
Your scripts remain accessible. If you cancel, your account reverts to the free tier at the end of the current billing period. You can still read and export all your scripts. You will not be able to use AI generation features beyond the free tier's credit allocation, but your data is always yours.
My script won't decrypt — what should I do?
This typically happens when an encryption key cannot be derived from your current session. Try signing out completely and signing back in. If you recently changed your password, use your new password. If the issue persists, contact support with your account email and a description of the issue.
Can I recover my scripts if I delete my account?
No. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Because all content is end-to-end encrypted and we do not hold decryption keys, deleted content is completely unrecoverable. Export your scripts to PDF or Final Draft format before deleting your account.
Why did my AI generation fail? My credits were deducted.
Credits are reserved at the start of an AI operation and released if the operation fails before producing output. If your balance was reduced but no content was produced, the credits should have been released back automatically. If they were not, contact billing support with the approximate time and operation details.
How does the credit top-up system work?
Top-up credits are purchased separately from your subscription and stored as vouchers in your wallet. They are consumed after your subscription plan credits and are valid for 6 months from purchase. Larger top-ups unlock lower per-credit rates. All top-up purchases are final — see our Terms of Service for the full no-refund policy.
Can I share a project with a collaborator who uses a different plan?
Yes. Collaborators can view or edit shared projects regardless of their subscription plan. However, AI generation features within shared projects consume credits from the collaborator's own wallet when they use them.
What is 'Language Assist' and how does it work?
Language Assist provides inline translation suggestions as you type dialogue, making it easier to write in non-English languages (Hindi, Tamil, Spanish, Japanese, etc.). It activates automatically if your project is set to a non-English script or dialogue language, and can also be toggled manually in the editor toolbar.
Can I use SceneCraft for YouTube video scripts?
Absolutely. SceneCraft supports full-length feature films, short films, television series, and YouTube video series scripts. The editor uses professional screenplay format (useful for structured video scripts), and you can adapt the beat sheet and character tools to any long-form narrative format.

Service Status

SceneCraft monitors platform health continuously. If you are experiencing issues not reflected above, please contact support and include your approximate location and a description of the problem.

A note on encrypted content

All your screenplay content is end-to-end encrypted in your browser with AES-256-GCM. This means our support team cannot read your scripts, dialogue, character notes, or any creative content. When you contact support about content issues, we can only see account metadata and technical logs — never the content itself. This is a feature, not a limitation.
