Clear Rules for a Creative Partnership

These Terms govern your use of SceneCraft — an AI-augmented screenwriting platform operated by Crevolve Infosoft Pvt Ltd. Please read them carefully. They protect both you and us so that creative work can flourish safely and fairly.

Effective: May 30, 2025Global ComplianceDigital Purchase · 14-Day Refund
Please read these Terms carefully before using SceneCraft. By creating an account, accessing, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

01. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Crevolve Infosoft Pvt Ltd, a company incorporated in India, trading as "SceneCraft" ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the SceneCraft platform, applications, APIs, and all associated services (collectively, the "Service").

By registering an account, clicking "I Agree," accessing, or using the Service in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must immediately cease all access to and use of the Service and delete your account.

02. Eligibility & Account Registration

2.1 Age Requirements

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 16 years of age, you may only use the Service with the express consent of a parent or legal guardian, who will be bound by these Terms on your behalf. Users under 13 years of age are strictly prohibited from using the Service. Age requirements may be higher in certain jurisdictions to comply with local law.

2.2 Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. Registering with false or misleading information, or creating accounts for purposes of circumventing security measures or prior bans, is a material violation of these Terms.

2.3 Account Security

  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must immediately notify us at [email protected] of any unauthorised access to your account.
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security or from unauthorised use of your account.
  • You may not share your account credentials with third parties or allow others to access your account except through our official collaboration features.

2.4 One Account Per User

You may maintain only one personal account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits, suspensions, or other restrictions is prohibited and may result in permanent termination of all associated accounts.

03. Description of the Service

SceneCraft is a cloud-based AI-augmented screenwriting platform designed for screenwriters, showrunners, independent filmmakers, and content creators. The Service enables users to:

  • Write and edit full-length feature film screenplays, short films, television series scripts, and YouTube video series scripts in industry-standard screenplay format.
  • Generate, regenerate, and polish screenplay content using integrated AI language models.
  • Plan story structure using beat sheets, act breakdowns, and scene outlines.
  • Manage character bibles with detailed biographical and psychological profiles.
  • Collaborate with co-writers in real time via encrypted project sharing.
  • Export finished scripts to PDF and Final Draft (.fdx) formats.
  • Maintain version history with encrypted snapshots.

3.1 AI Language Models

The Service integrates third-party AI language models to power generation features. The AI operates on prompts and context derived from your project data. AI outputs are generated programmatically and may contain inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or content that requires human editorial judgment.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and taking ownership of all AI-generated content before use. SceneCraft does not warrant the accuracy, originality, or suitability of AI outputs.

3.2 Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We will provide reasonable advance notice of planned downtime where possible.

3.3 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice to users where material changes are involved. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the changes.

04. Subscription Plans & Billing

4.1 Available Plans

SceneCraft offers multiple subscription tiers, including a free tier and several paid tiers. Each plan provides a defined allocation of credits per billing cycle. Specific plan details, pricing, and credit allocations are displayed on our pricing page and within your account's billing section, and are subject to change with notice.

4.2 Payment Processing — Paddle as Merchant of Record

All payments are processed by Paddle.com ("Paddle"), who acts as our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. When you purchase a subscription or credit top-up, your contract for that purchase is with Paddle. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, tax collection, and refund administration on our behalf. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

4.3 Billing Cycle & Automatic Renewal

  • Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected) on the anniversary of your subscription start date.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • By subscribing, you authorise Paddle to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
  • You are responsible for keeping your payment information current and accurate. Failed payments may result in service suspension.

4.4 Plan Credits

Each paid subscription plan includes a monthly credit allocation. These plan credits:

  • Are refreshed at the start of each new billing cycle.
  • Do not roll over. Unused plan credits expire at the end of each billing cycle.
  • Are consumed before top-up voucher credits.

4.5 Upgrades & Downgrades

You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, with prorated adjustments where applicable. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Credit allocations adjust accordingly; excess credits from a downgraded plan are not refunded.

4.6 Taxes

All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.) unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for all taxes applicable to your jurisdiction. Where we are required by law to collect taxes, these will be added to your invoice.

4.7 Free Tier

The free tier provides a limited credit allocation per cycle and access to core Service features. Free-tier users acknowledge that the Service may impose usage restrictions or queue prioritisation relative to paid tiers. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free tier with reasonable notice.

05. Credit System

5.1 What Are Credits?

Credits are the internal unit of account used to measure and meter your consumption of AI-powered features within SceneCraft. Different AI operations (full script generation, scene regeneration, scene polish, script analysis, scene analysis, content import, element rewrite) consume varying amounts of credits based on the volume of data processed and the AI model tier selected.

5.2 Credit Sources

  • Subscription Credits: Granted automatically at the start of each billing cycle per your active plan. Expire at cycle end; unused subscription credits do not roll over.
  • Top-Up Vouchers: Additional credits purchased separately via one-time payment. Top-up credits are stored as vouchers within your wallet, are consumed after subscription credits, and are valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase. Each voucher has its own expiry.

5.3 Credit Consumption

  • Credits are consumed based on the number of input and output tokens processed by the AI model during each operation.
  • The AI model tier you select (e.g., Cost-Effective or Performant) directly affects the credit cost per operation. Higher-capability models consume more credits per token.
  • A credit estimate is displayed before high-cost operations, giving you the opportunity to review expected consumption before confirming.
  • Credit balances are deducted at the time of API request. If an operation fails after credits are reserved, reserved credits are released back to your balance.

5.4 Credit Expiry

  • Subscription credits expire at the end of the billing cycle in which they were granted.
  • Top-up voucher credits expire six (6) months from the date of purchase of that specific voucher.
  • Expired credits are permanently forfeited and non-refundable.

5.5 No Monetary Value

Credits have no monetary value outside of the Service. They are not transferable between accounts, cannot be sold, traded, or redeemed for cash, and are not considered currency in any jurisdiction. Credits are a licence to use specific features of the Service.

5.6 Top-Up Purchases

Top-up credits may be purchased in configurable quantities via the billing section. Pricing is tiered — larger purchases unlock lower per-credit rates. Top-up purchases are final and non-refundable as they constitute pre-purchased AI compute capacity. See Section 06 for the full Refund Policy.

06. Refund Policy

14-Day Refund Guarantee. All purchases — subscription plans and credit top-ups — are eligible for a full refund if requested within 14 calendar days of the original charge date, no questions asked. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record.

6.1 14-Day Refund Right

You may request a full refund of any subscription payment or credit top-up purchase within 14 calendar days of the original charge date. No conditions apply within this window — you are not required to demonstrate unused credits or provide any reason for your request.

Refunds are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and will be returned to your original payment method. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

6.2 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund within the 14-day window, you may:

  • Email [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request — [your registered email]" and include the charge date and amount.
  • Contact Paddle directly at paddle.com — as Merchant of Record, Paddle can also process your refund.

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and process eligible refunds within 5 business days.

6.3 After the 14-Day Window

Refund requests submitted more than 14 calendar days after the charge date are not eligible for a refund, except in the case of a verified billing error (§6.4). If you cancel your subscription after the 14-day window, your access continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial-period refund is issued. Unused plan credits at the time of cancellation expire normally with the billing cycle.

6.4 Billing Errors

Genuine billing errors — such as duplicate charges caused by a technical processing fault — are investigated and corrected regardless of when they are reported or how many credits have been used. To report a billing error, contact [email protected] or Paddle support within 60 days of the charge.

6.5 Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback — we can typically resolve issues faster than a bank dispute process. As our Merchant of Record, Paddle handles all chargeback administration on our behalf.

07. Cancellation & Account Deletion

7.1 Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing section of your account. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will not renew at the next billing cycle.
  • You retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.
  • At the end of the billing period, your account reverts to the free tier (if available) or becomes inactive.
  • Subscription credits granted in the cancelled cycle expire with the cycle end as normal.

7.2 Resuming a Cancelled Subscription

You may re-enable automatic renewal at any time before the cancellation takes effect. If your subscription has already lapsed, you may re-subscribe by selecting a plan in the Billing section.

7.3 Account Deletion

You may request permanent deletion of your account by contacting [email protected]. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Upon confirmed deletion:

  • All encrypted screenplay content associated with your account is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
  • Because all content is end-to-end encrypted and we cannot decrypt it, deleted content is completely unrecoverable.
  • Any remaining subscription credits and top-up voucher credits are permanently forfeited without compensation.
  • Financial records required for legal compliance (e.g., tax records) are retained in anonymised or minimal form per applicable retention requirements.
Before deleting your account: Export any scripts you wish to keep using the Export feature (PDF or Final Draft format) from within the editor. Once your account is deleted, we cannot recover your encrypted data.

08. End-to-End Encryption & Data

8.1 Client-Side Encryption

All screenplay content you create — including scene descriptions, dialogue, character bibles, beat descriptions, and loglines — is encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM before transmission to our servers. We store only ciphertext and cannot access your plaintext creative content.

8.2 Your Responsibility for Key Management

The encryption key is derived from your account credentials. You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your account. If you lose access to your account and cannot reset your credentials, your encrypted content is permanently irrecoverable. SceneCraft has no mechanism to decrypt or recover your content on your behalf. We strongly recommend:

  • Using a reputable password manager for your SceneCraft credentials.
  • Enabling two-factor authentication (TOTP 2FA).
  • Regularly exporting important projects to PDF or .fdx.

8.3 AI Processing Acknowledgement

When you use AI generation features, context derived from your project content is transmitted to AI model providers for processing. This transmission is necessary for the AI features to function. By using AI features, you consent to this transmission. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how AI providers handle this data.

8.4 Data Ownership

Subject to these Terms, you retain full ownership of all original creative content you write within SceneCraft. We claim no ownership over your original screenplay content.

09. AI-Generated Content & Intellectual Property

9.1 Ownership of AI-Generated Content

The intellectual property status of AI-generated content varies by jurisdiction and continues to evolve as legal frameworks develop. You acknowledge:

  • Content generated entirely by AI without meaningful human authorship may not qualify for copyright protection in all jurisdictions under current law.
  • Content you substantially create, modify, or curate using AI as a tool — adding meaningful human creative expression — may qualify for protection to the extent of your human contribution.
  • You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with applicable intellectual property laws in your jurisdiction regarding AI-generated content.

9.2 Licence to SceneCraft

You grant SceneCraft a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, transmit, and process your encrypted content solely to provide and improve the Service. Because we cannot decrypt your content, this licence is exercised only on the ciphertext. We do not use your plaintext creative content for AI training purposes.

9.3 SceneCraft Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, user interface design, logos, brand elements, documentation, and all content created by SceneCraft, is protected by intellectual property law and owned by or licensed to SceneCraft. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the Service without our express written consent.

9.4 No Guarantee of Originality

AI models may generate content that resembles existing works. SceneCraft makes no warranty that AI-generated content is original, non-infringing, or cleared for commercial use. You are responsible for conducting any necessary clearance or legal review before commercialising content generated using the Service.

10. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

10.1 Illegal & Harmful Activities

  • Use the Service to create, distribute, or facilitate any content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, or that promotes violence or discrimination.
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Engage in any activity that could expose SceneCraft or its users to legal liability.

10.2 Security & System Integrity

  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system or network.
  • Breach any security or authentication measures.
  • Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service or its computer systems.
  • Introduce any virus, malware, ransomware, spyware, worm, or other malicious code.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service.

10.3 Account & Credit Fraud

  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier credit limits, suspensions, or other restrictions.
  • Exploit any Service vulnerability, bug, or unintended feature to obtain credits or access beyond your entitlement.
  • Engage in or facilitate credit farming, reselling credits, or any form of credit manipulation.
  • Use stolen payment credentials or engage in fraudulent payment activity.

10.4 Automated & Bulk Usage

  • Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the Service beyond normal human usage patterns without our written consent.
  • Scrape, extract, or harvest any content from the Service for purposes other than your own legitimate use.
  • Exceed documented rate limits in a manner that degrades the Service for other users.

10.5 Impersonation & Misrepresentation

  • Impersonate any person, organisation, or SceneCraft employee.
  • Provide false or misleading information in your account registration or in communications with us.
  • Claim any affiliation with SceneCraft that does not exist.

11. Account Suspension, Termination & Credit Freeze

Zero Tolerance for Abuse: SceneCraft maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward fraud, malicious activity, and material violations of these Terms. We reserve the right to take immediate action to protect our platform, users, and infrastructure.

11.1 Grounds for Suspension or Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if we determine or reasonably suspect that you have:

  • Violated any provision of these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or any applicable law.
  • Engaged in fraudulent activity, including payment fraud, credit fraud, or chargeback abuse.
  • Created multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.
  • Attempted to compromise the security, integrity, or availability of the Service.
  • Engaged in abuse of AI generation features, including attempts to extract system prompts, circumvent safety measures, or generate prohibited content.
  • Taken any action that poses a risk to SceneCraft, its users, or third parties.
  • Failed to pay subscription fees or disputed legitimate charges in bad faith.

11.2 Immediate Credit Freeze

Upon detection of malicious, fraudulent, or abusive activity, we will immediately freeze all credits associated with the affected account, including:

  • Subscription plan credits for the current cycle.
  • All top-up voucher credits, regardless of remaining validity period.

Frozen credits are non-transferable, non-redeemable, and will not be refunded. Frozen credits may be permanently forfeited if the investigation concludes that a material violation occurred.

11.3 No Refund Upon Suspension

Accounts suspended or terminated for Terms of Service violations are not entitled to any refund of subscription fees, top-up credit purchases, or any other payments made prior to suspension, irrespective of the amount paid or the unused balance remaining at the time of suspension. This policy exists to deter abuse and fraud.

11.4 Investigation & Appeal

If you believe your account has been suspended in error, you may contact us at [email protected] to submit a written appeal. We will review appeals in good faith and respond within a reasonable timeframe. During the appeal period, the account remains suspended and credits remain frozen. We are not obligated to reverse suspensions that result from verified violations.

11.5 Our Right to Terminate

SceneCraft may terminate the Service or your access to it at any time for any reason, with or without cause, with or without notice, and without liability. If we terminate your access without cause, we will provide a pro-rata refund of any unused prepaid subscription fees for the current period. This does not apply to credit top-ups.

12. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

12.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, ACCURATE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, ORIGINALITY, OR LEGAL COMPLIANCE OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT. YOU RELY ON AI OUTPUTS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND DISCRETION.

12.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SCENECRAFT, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR:

  • ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, GOODWILL, OR REPUTATION.
  • LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF ENCRYPTED DATA (WHICH WE CANNOT DECRYPT OR RECOVER).
  • COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES.

IN ANY CASE, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO SCENECRAFT IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

12.3 Essential Basis of Bargain

The limitations of liability in this section reflect an allocation of risk between the parties and form an essential basis of the bargain between you and SceneCraft. These limitations apply even if any remedy fails of its essential purpose.

12.4 Jurisdictional Limitations

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SceneCraft and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of the Service or any content you create, upload, or transmit.
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation.
  • Your infringement of any third-party intellectual property or other rights.
  • Your negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct.
  • Any claim that your content or conduct caused harm to a third party.

SceneCraft reserves the right, at your expense, to assume exclusive control of any matter subject to indemnification. You agree to cooperate with our defence of such claims.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. For users in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection rights under EU law are unaffected. For users in other jurisdictions, any applicable mandatory local law protections are preserved.

14.2 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute resolution process, you agree to contact SceneCraft at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes within 30 days. If we cannot reach resolution, either party may pursue formal remedies.

14.3 Binding Arbitration (Where Applicable)

For users in jurisdictions where arbitration clauses are enforceable, you and SceneCraft agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration, except for:

  • Claims for injunctive or other equitable relief to prevent unauthorised use or abuse of the Service.
  • Claims that may be brought in small claims court.
  • Claims where mandatory local law provides for court jurisdiction (including EU consumer rights).

14.4 Class Action Waiver

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any right to bring or participate in class action or representative proceedings. Each party will resolve disputes only in an individual capacity.

14.5 EU / UK Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights that EU or UK consumers are entitled to by law. EU consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their member state of residence.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Send an email notification to your registered email address at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
  • Display a prominent in-app notice upon your next login.
  • Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account before the effective date.

Non-material changes (e.g., clarifications, formatting corrections, updated contact information) may be made without prior notice, though we will update the Effective Date.
